2019-11-28 Edition of Tabi’s Tidbits w/ Tabitha

On this edition of Tabi’s Tidbits, we’re cooking Cornbread for the Thanks Giving feast!

Happy Thanks Giving everybody!


This is an easy to follow recipe that’s great for Thanksgiving, Summer barbecues or any other time you fancy a plump slice of cornbread.
I use all organic, grass fed and pastured ingredients.  Try to get the best versions of each product you can find.


1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1/2 cup medium grind cornmeal
1/2 cup corn flour
1 teaspoon Celtic sea salt
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 egg
1 cup milk
1/3 cup avocado oil
1/3 cup raw honey
1/2 cup corn (frozen or fresh)
Preheat oven to 400F (200C).  Lightly oil an 8×8″ glass baking dish.
In a medium bowl mix the dry ingredients.  In a small bowl mix the wet.  Add the wet over the dry and stir to combine.  Add corn and gently mix to combine.
Pour the batter into the oiled baking dish.  Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until center is set and edges are golden brown.  Let cool and enjoy!

  1. Okay, that’s it!! We need WordPress Whitey smell-a-vision too. Lead in music reminded me of watching cooking shows with mom waaay back. Get a comfortable cute kitchen mask. Not like cowardly Antifa and scum use, just enough because of facial recognition CIA/ADL or Singrenade shit ya know. A 1950s dress, apron, hair-do. LOL A white retro cook show for the Food Network.

    Will have to try this recipe when feeling up to it and can find the ingredients. Just trying to find simple things like non-instant plain cornmeal or pastry flour/cake flour is a pain, not easy. Gonna have to try a damn restaurant supply joint again. Or just grind my own corn. Addition of fresh corn kicks that up too. I forget that simple addition. Oil treatment for measuring honey, good tip, I forget to use.

    Dang, now I’m hungry again, smelling cornbread or corn cakes and none around.

    • Hi Setfree I usually purchase my baking goods (as well as pantry stuff and some toiletries) from http://www.vitacost.com
      I used to want to be a food network chef, but they have gotten so anti-White and become a drama/reality channel. I miss the old PBS cooking shows where I would sit in front of the talmudvision and jot down recipes on a large yellow legal pad.

      • Thanks for the reminder. Used to order stuff from them. Have them in my online order sources folder and forgot all about them and a few others. Back on their email list now. And they carry the cornmeal and other brands I’m after.

        You’d make a good TV type chef. Like all else their change isn’t for the good or more knowledgeable. Went the way of PC-ness, Hollywood reality junk, and that “drama.”
